Sarah is another friend that I made at WDS when I offered mini sessions to the attendees.  She is a great girl and we met on my way out of Portland for a quick session.  She is so sweet and kind.  She’s got this gorgeous hair and beautiful eyes that look like they have sunflowers in them!  She runs an awesome site called No Help Here and just recently relocated to Taos, New Mexico for a new adventure.  Sarah, I had a great time and I hope to see you next year at WDS!

Élan is one of the attendees from WDS that I met up with for a mini session. As soon as she walked up to me, I was so stoked for the session (even more so than I already was)!  She just screamed elegance and beauty. It was almost as if she had popped out of the 1920s, with her super cute haircut and flapper-esque blouse. Everything, from the way she talked and moved, to the way she brushed her hair aside was so graceful.  It was so great chatting away during our session. She’s super sweet and also has an incredible job working at DAWN – the Disapora African Women’s Network. So great to have me you, Élan, and hope to see you next year!

I recently attended a conference in Portland called World Domination Summit. It was a ton of fun and all about how to live a remarkable, unconventional, and inspiring life. I met so many new friends and enjoyed wandering the streets of downtown Portland and checking out all the yummy food carts. While there, I offered a mini session package to the attendees and several people took me up on the offer. This is Michelle. In a word, Michelle is AWESOME! She’s from New York and you should totally check her our at When I Grow Up. Michelle and I wandered around South Park taking photos and chatting it up at lunch time. As you can see, she’s got gorgeous eyes and a killer smile! She was so kind to invite me to lunch with her girls afterward and we spent time chatting away and breaking down the morning sessions. I am so grateful to have met her and so in awe of her. Let me tell you, not everyone can get up in front of 1,000 people, play the ukulele, and sing.  Which she did at the end of the conference. Like I said…AWESOME.

So I’ve taken some time off to spend with my family. I’m still on vacation, but I thought I’d share the fist part of our trip with you. I LOVE Yosemite. It’s where my soul sings…if that makes any sense. Here are just a few shots of our trip. I went with my husband, parents, brother, his girlfriend, Jess, my Uncle Steve and his good friend, Mike. We all had such a blast hiking during the day and playing cards and having pizza at night. Tim, Jess and Leb hiked Half Dome. I wish I could have gone, but my knee just can’t handle that kind of stress. I went to the top of Nevada Falls and then turned around. It was still a great hike, and I sent them up with the camera to get some great shots. Hope you enjoy!!!
