Yosemite

So I’ve taken some time off to spend with my family. I’m still on vacation, but I thought I’d share the fist part of our trip with you. I LOVE Yosemite. It’s where my soul sings…if that makes any sense. Here are just a few shots of our trip. I went with my husband, parents, brother, his girlfriend, Jess, my Uncle Steve and his good friend, Mike. We all had such a blast hiking during the day and playing cards and having pizza at night. Tim, Jess and Leb hiked Half Dome. I wish I could have gone, but my knee just can’t handle that kind of stress. I went to the top of Nevada Falls and then turned around. It was still a great hike, and I sent them up with the camera to get some great shots. Hope you enjoy!!!

great shots! and more confirmation that with the calciphylia in the only two knees god provided, i will remain content with my fly-overs in airplanes.

looks spectacular from up there, too. but hardly the same.

hope you all had a wonderful time!

These are so beautiful! I’m so jealous! Win’s up here doing college orientation stuff, we’ll have to take a hike (somewheres that’s NOT on fire) and send y’all pictures to assuage my jealousy :) Really Jen, you are incredibly talented.

Great photos Jen. You managed to capture the grandeur of the Valley, the relaxing times in curry village, and the characters that make the experience, all while making it uniquely yours. I think I feel the same way as you do about Yosemite.

Jen,

Great photos of a great time together in that spectacular outdoor ‘cathedral’ called Yosemite! Yes, it makes one’s being soar. The last night there I just stood in the center of the Valley, looking up at those mountains in the moonlight, and had sore cheeks from smiling. I am so happy every time I am there.

Glad that we all could share it together.

What great shots! You are the photographer of the family! I like so many of these photos and will cherish them in the years ahead. I really like the shot of Jess at #10, and you captured your brother in a typical expression at #15!

Shot #11 is simply making me hungry . . . .

I miss you all, already!

Back “at it” here in Chicago!

Love,

Steve
