Yesterday I went with Jess and the girls to the Seattle Gymnastics Academy. It was AMAZING! The girls were so cute in their little purple leotards and they were such good listeners as the teacher moved them from activity to activity. I was super jealous of all the fun things they got to do. Especially the foam pit. I wanted to jump in SO bad! There are more pictures of Isabel because Charlotte was running around so much it was hard to catch her in action. Seriously. Too. Cute.
For those of you who follow my blog, you know these cuties. These are my nieces, Charlotte and Isabel. I'm spending the week in Seattle and yesterday we went to the park for a bit and I brought my camera along. I can never get enough of these faces.
While I was in Chicago, I met up with my sister-in-law's friend, Brooke, for a session of her kids. I met them in downtown Chicago at Olive Park and Coralai walked right up to me, grabbed my hand, and said "Yay! We're going to take pictures!" Talk about a new BFF. I had so much fun with these guys. Brooke is super super sweet and you can tell how much she loves her kids. She's also not a mom that has them bubble wrapped like a lot of parents do. They're free to play, get dirty, and even crawl into Lake Michigan fully clothed like Grayson did! Coralai went knee-high and then went back to sculpting a mermaid tail in the sand. Grayson is in that stage where everything is new and exciting and must be picked up, so cute! I truly love photographing kids because they remind you to just kick back and have fun. Don't sweat the small stuff. Get dirty, play hard, and smile. I seriously loved hanging out with them and I hope I get to see them again sometime when I'm back in Chicago. I mean I have a new BFF to visit! :)
In case you're wondering what I am up to lately... Caleb and I flew to Chicago about a week ago to greet our new niece. There was only one problem. She wasn't here yet! Little Miss Addison Grace Gedeon took her sweet time arriving! She was born on August 23, 2012 and was 7 lbs 5 oz and 20.75 inches. Below are photos of our first visit to the hospital and my niece, Alexis, meeting her new little sister for the first time. If you haven't seen it yet, head over to my husband's site and check out the video he made of the day. It was so amazing to be able to watch Alexis meet her sister and to be able to capture these precious moments for my sister-in-law and her family. Words cannot express how happy I am for them and how grateful I am that Caleb and I can be here to welcome Addison to the family.
I cannot put into words how much I love these two girls. Charlotte and Isabel are the daughters of my best friends from college and it is so fun to watch them grow up. I'm so happy that they have moved back to the West Coast, and while they're not in San Diego, at least Seattle is a lot closer than Boston! My husband and I were recently in Seattle for a friend's wedding and of course we stayed with Ched, Jess, and the girls. We lucked out and got a week of fantabulous weather. One of the days we decided to do a session in Greenlake with the girls and they had too much fun! Isabel busied herself with all things sandbox while Charlotte had her daddy push her on the swing the whole time. She was quite reluctant to be taken away from them as you'll see below. They topped off the afternoon with their very first Push Pops, which I'd say were a big hit. Can't wait to see these girls again!
